Candle Care Guide

Ensure all packaging is removed before lighting.

All candles should be placed on a protected, heat-resistant surface away from anything flammable and out of the reach of children and pets.

Never leave candles unattended.

The ideal wick length is 5mm, as it causes the least amount of smoking.

Keep the wax pool clear of any wick trimmings, matches or other debris.

Never touch or move a burning candle.

Store candles in a cool, dry place to avoid colour fading, melting or cracking. Keep away from direct sunlight or fluorescent light, and any exposure to moisture may inhibit relighting.

To ensure an even melt across the candle's surface, burn for at least 4 hours at a time. This prevents "tunnelling" - when the candle burns a hole down the middle and wax remains at the edges.

Removing the Crystal

Removing the crystal is pretty simple. please follow these instructions to ensure a safe removal of the crystal.

Allow the candle to burn for up to 4 hours or once the melt pool is touching the edge of the candle container.

As the wax melts around the crystal, it will slow start moving to the centre of the candle.

Once this starts to happen carefully using a small teaspoon or tongs remove the crystal from the candle.

Using a damp cloth, wipe the crystal removing any wax.

Cleanse your crystal using whichever method you prefer and is best for the type of crystal that was infused into the candle.

Can I Reuse My Empty Jar?

Each candle container has been carefully chosen for it's ability to be reused. If you wish, once the container is empty it can be used for a variety of reasons such as a pen holder or to hold your make up brushes etc.

Simply add hot water into the empty container and leave over night until all the excess wax melts and floats to the top of the container. remove the floating wax, wash the container and leave to dry or wipe dry.

Can I Reduce The Size Of The Flame?

The answer is Yes! Trim the wick of your candle before each new use (using a wick trimmer). For candles with a wood wick, extinguish your candle, wait until it has cooled down and the wax is completely solidified. Using your fingertips, break off the top of the wick gently.

Why Is There Wax Left In My Candle Container At The End?

For safety reasons, all our candles including the wood wick will self-extinguish at the end with some wax remaining. This is to prevent the glass base of the candle container overheating.

How Can I Avoid My Jar Blackening?

To avoid soot deposits on your candle, trim the wick of your candle before each new use (using a wick trimmer) or your fingertips for the candles with a wood wick. If there is soot on the glass of your candle container, you can clean it with damp paper towel.

Why Is My Soy Candle Bumpy After Burning?

The bumpy tops after burning is quite common with soy wax. It happens when the rate of cooling is inconsistent. Unfortunately, it's difficult to control once the candle has been lit and then extinguished. Sometimes it will dry with the rough, uneven surface and sometimes it will dry smooth as glass. The good news is, this is a by-product of all-natural wax and it does not affect the performance of the candle.

Burning Instructions

To avoid your candle from tunnelling please ensure when you first use your candle you allow the melt pool to reach the edges of your container. Ensure you place your candle on a flat/levelled surface. Please be advised we do not recommend burning your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.

Health & Safety

Always burn your candle insight to prevent a fire hazard. Remove any dried petals that are getting too close to the wick. Keep away from children/pets at all times. Avoid placing your candle near draughts. There is a label at the bottom of your candle advising safety instructions too!
